Terms & Conditions

1. General These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Therapy Lens. Therapy Lens is a shared practice name used by Myrto Kalianioti (KvK: 91831830) and Georgina Tergazi (KvK: 91971845), who operate as independent professionals.

By booking a session, you agree to these terms and conditions.


2. Professionality Myrto Kalianioti is a registered member of the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP) and complies with the NIP Code of Ethics to ensure a professional treatment process.

3. Sessions Sessions are available online and in person at Nieuwe Binnenweg 310B, 3021 GV Rotterdam. Each session lasts approximately 50 minutes. Therapy Lens works with teens above 16 years old, adults (18+), couples, and families.

Sessions may not be recorded (audio or video) by either party without explicit written consent.


4. Payment All sessions are private pay. Payment is required via bank transfer prior to the session. Details will be provided upon booking. Therapy Lens does not work with insurance providers.

If payment is not received prior to the session, the session may be postponed. In case of non-payment, a reminder will be sent. If payment remains outstanding after 14 days, an official notice will follow. Therapy Lens reserves the right to suspend sessions until outstanding payments are resolved. In continued absence of payment, debt collection measures may be taken. The costs of these measures will be added to the total amount owed.


5. Cancellation Policy We ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance: no charge
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session: full session fee applies
  • No-show (no cancellation): full session fee applies

6. Cancellation by Therapy Lens In the rare event that we need to cancel a session, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative appointment. No charge will apply.


7. Online Sessions For online sessions, we ask that you:

  • Have a stable internet connection
  • Are in a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking freely
  • Are on time for the start of the session

Technical difficulties on our end will not be charged. If technical difficulties occur on your end, the session fee may still apply.

8. Confidentiality & Privacy All information shared during sessions is strictly confidential and will not be shared with third parties. Confidentiality may only be broken in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • When obligated by statutory provisions or court order
  • Where there is a threat of imminent danger to the client or others

In accordance with Dutch law, treatment records will be kept for 15 years after termination of treatment. These records are treated confidentially and stored securely. The client has the right to access all treatment records pertaining to themselves.

9. Liability Therapy Lens and its psychologists support clients in their own decision-making process. They do not give advice, but help clients come to their own conclusions. All decisions made by a client are their own responsibility. Therapy Lens cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the decisions and actions a client has made or will make.

Therapy Lens can only be held liable for direct damage, for an amount not exceeding the total costs of treatment paid by the client thus far. The only exception is in the case of intentional gross negligence on behalf of Therapy Lens.

Therapy Lens is not liable for any damage to third parties resulting from the decisions and actions of the client.


10. Termination of Therapy You are free to end therapy at any time. We ask that you inform us by email so we can close the process properly. Therapy Lens also reserves the right to terminate the therapeutic relationship if deemed necessary, in which case we will discuss this with you openly and, where possible, refer you to another professional.


11. Emergency Situations Therapy Lens does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please contact:

  • 112 (emergency services)
  • 0800-0113 (Suicide Prevention, free, 24/7)
  • Your GP (huisarts)

12. Complaints If you have a complaint, we encourage you to first discuss it directly with your psychologist via email or during a session. If the outcome is not satisfactory, you may file a complaint with:

13. Governing Law These terms are governed by Dutch law. By starting treatment with Therapy Lens, the client agrees to and accepts these terms and conditions. Any disputes that cannot be resolved privately shall be resolved before a court in the Netherlands.


14. External Links The Website may include links to third-party websites. Therapy Lens is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.


15. Website Platform This Website is hosted on WordPress.com, which may process limited technical data in accordance with its own policies.


16. Changes to These Terms These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the current version.
